Freezes in a Sagem 2x AMD cable

Hello:

I'm Spanish and I don't spyke German.

It can that what I am going to ask, already is answered, but I am not spyke German.

I have a Sagem 2x AMD for cable. When you are viewing the TV, the image and the sound stop, and few seconds after it, the image and the sound restart. In other cases the sound restart but the image not, and you need change the TV channel, and other cases appears “Chanel not available” and you need restart the dbox2. I think the problem it’s not the signal , I think it’s a Hardware problem. In spain are several SAGEM with this problem.

This happens on what TV stations? (Sat / Station name)

It looks like some obscure image on your box.

Have a look, wether these stations are transponded with QAM 256. Then Sagem Boxes will have a problem with these stations. We have the same problem here in Germany on some transponders.

Hmmm, maybe Your Sagem tuners have a problem with the high frequencies (800+MHz) ?
Can You check, what are the BER/SNR/SIG on channels with different frequencies ?

I check the signal:

802MHz frecuency

BER= <20
SNR=64000 --- 66000
SIG= 31000

722MHz frecuency
BER= <30
SNR=64000 --- 66000
SIG= 31000

Ok, that doesn't seem to be the trick.
Your signal looks great.
I suppose, this does only happen on encrypted and NOT on FTA channels, correct ?

The problems appears in the FTA channels and the encrypted channels.
Also it happens with more frequency in the FTA channels.

Ok, so this seems to be ENX related.

I suppose, that You have the ENX-Watchdog enabled.

On software side You can try the following:
SPTS-Mode off
HW-Sections off
use Your original ucode (or not)
use a different cam_alpha version
google for "enx reset plugin"

Hardware:
Try to cool down the ENX-chip with a little cooling spray and see , if it becomes better.
If yes, You could cool down the ENX permanently by applying a passive cooling with e.g. an ICK PGA 11x11 cooler.
Also see, if Your AT76C651 on the tuner gets pretty hot.
Do the same as for the ENX to that chip.

No more ideas left

I make changes in the software and I have put a big fan to cool the chips ,but the problem continues.
I have had bad suete and I have not found the origin of the problem yet.

When the freezes appear, in the log it does not appear at all. I have to do some tests more, and I already will comment to you on more information.

Now, I think only have a freezes with the channels of the 802MHz frecuency.
This frecuency it use for de FTA channels.
