Is it possible to change API

I want to write a plugin which write out the subtitles.

In the nordic countries is very common to have subtitles. These text are often
used from the teletext pages. To show the correct text the plugin must have
the correct PMT for the channel in question.

Should it be possible to add a function in the API (Enigma) where the application
tells the PMT-pid to the plugin. It should tell it every time the user change channel.

You must have the the PMT frame because inside that frame is the page written which keeps
the subtitle inside the teletext domain.

Who is responsible for changes in ENIGMA sourcec ??
