hi tomi,
the bootload sectors of the flashchips are hardware-writeprotected. you are only able to write to these sectors by disprotecting them.
In the case of a Nokia dBox2 with 2 Intel flashchips you have to set the jumpers XH4 and XH6. For Nokia with 2 AMD chips you have to set the jumper XH3. Disprotection on a Sagem with 1 Intel is by connecting the two figuered holes of this image:
http://www.noernet.de/dbox2/howto/sagem_1xIntel.jpg
For disprotecting the Sagem with 2 Intel chips solder 2 short wires as shown on this picture:
http://www.noernet.de/dbox2/howto/sagem_2xIntel.jpg
for the Sagems with AMD chips or the dBox2 made by Philips there are some other pictures reachable on this link:
http://www.noernet.de/dbox2/howto/DBox2-HOWTO-2.html
see chapter 2.7 Debug-Mode enablen.
But: why do you want to write to the bootloader sectors???
the bootloadersoft is bound to the hardware of each dBox2.
If you want to change the bootloadersoft (ugrade from BMon1.0 to BMon1.2 or something like that):
it will crash the system and the box will NOT function anymore
(sorry for any mistakes... 20 years ago it would have been better )
