Strange "rsize and wsize" behaviour

Beitrag von JOCKYW2001 »

I got myself an Asus WL-HDD2.5 ("Wireless Hard Drive Box") which, after some modifications, now runs a NFSv3 daemon. Both recording and playback work quite well, but tweaking performance by changing the rsize and wsize values seems not to be possible.

I tested a couple of mounts where in each mount I request rsize=wsize=32768:

1a) If I mount a share from the Asus in dbox2 and select rsize=wsize=32768 then "mount" in telnet shows that rsize=wsize=8192

1b) If I mount the same share from the Asus in Knoppix then "mount" shows that rsize=wsize=32768

2a)If I mount a share from M$ SFU on my PC in dbox2 then "mount" shows rsize=32768 and wsize=8192

2b)If I mount the same share from M$ SFU on my PC in Knoppix then "mount" shows rsize=wsize=32768

Who can explain this strange behaviour? Is it possible to change the mount client on the dbox2?

Try to add "nfsvers=3" at d-box-options

Thx Treito, I'll try that this evening. However, I recall that when I type "mount" on the dbox it always showed "v3".
