I'm very busy with compiling the CDK for the Dreambox. The CDK (including doom and other games) is now completely available for the Dreambox (including SDL/directFB etc).
There were a number of small compiling/running problems which I fixed.
Is there a special (international) dreambox forum somewhere else or is this the right place to discuss these matters?

Beta-Test-Forum for the Dreambox

As i know :
I have dowloaded Cvs tree and build all too...
Yes some fixing here...
But:
You can't get a working basic kernel... (without modules i mean)
You can only work on some standalone and try it in dreambox...
- To make a suitable tree for dream we have to know HW spec.
for such board (the Dream and STB0450)
- The first step (i guess) will be to get out a CONFIG_4xx -> Dream
in config files on kernel tree, but again we have to put here some
.h & .c in boot dir of kernel three.
Here we can get some hint from ppcboot utils too
I think that -mcpu=405 option in compiling is better for this.
For modules i get out a good start point in disassembling Dream.o,fb.o,lcd.o.... modules.
Next I will try to recompile gdb with PSIM enabled.
I hope that we will speak about here
